A White Plains-based developer is proposing to build a retail and restaurant center on a vacant 19-acre former industrial site in East Farmingdale. Acadia Realty Trust , which owns the property just off the southwest corner of Route 110 and Conklin Street across from Airport Plaza, plans to transform the site once owned by Republic Aviation.

Chris Christie proposed has been in testing for months now by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, NJ Advance Media has learned. Christie, a Republican presidential candidate, derided ICE officials as "knuckleheads" on Aug. 29 over their alleged failure to embrace biometric technology to track U.S. visa holders.
