Regarding the future name and branding, other sources said that the name and blue colour of UPC will disappear, as Ziggo is the stronger brand. The change will have implications for certain company activities, such as the sponsorship of the Dutch film sector. Ziggo mainly sponsors music. On its site, Ziggo stressed that nothing will change until the acquisition of Ziggo by Liberty Global completes. The process is expected to take a few weeks after 4 November. Until that moment, Ziggo will remain an independent company. The operator said that the scale of the new Ziggo will bring investment and innovation, but believes it is too early to provide more details. The site will be expanded in the future.

Air France-KLM is pressing ahead with expansion of its low cost brand in France and has a back-up plan if a deadlock with pilots continues, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alexandre de Juniac said in an interview published on Sunday. Pilots ended the airline's longest strike since 1998 in late September despite continued deadlock with managers over the development of the firm's low-cost operations.
