Wind power vital for cutting import costs and improving energy resilience

Blue and Green: Domestic wind power in the UK could save 7.4 billion in gas import costs by 2030 whilst improving the resilience of the energy system, according to a new report. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices were mostly down in the last seven days in China, with spun polyester prices depressed by the fall of polyester fiber prices. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang) and Changyi (Shandong). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Historical data are available for download.

Vietnam bucks US apparel import fall in November

With most holiday merchandise brought into the US early as retailers rushed to beat a possible shutdown of West Coast ports, it is perhaps not surprising that apparel imports fell in November. The stand-out performers during the month continue to be Vietnam and China, but there was more gloom for Bangladesh.
