When 2015 started Belviq from Arena Pharmaceuticals was leading the pack in scripts sold in the branded anti-obesity pill space. When 2015 finished Belviq was in last place and sales actually saw a dip in sales on a year over year basis.

Global commodities trader Cargill Inc on Thursday reported a 13 percent drop in quarterly earnings before special items, citing lower commodities prices and weaker demand in some markets. A milder-than-normal start to the winter in North America curbed earnings from products such as road salt and pressured prices of natural gas and power, which hurt the privately held company's energy trading results.

Gap's shares dropped in after-hours trading after the retailer reported a sales slump that extended into December that included even Old Navy, once a bright spot for the company. The San Francisco-based clothing retailer, which also operates stores under its own brand as well as Banana Republic, said Thursday that a key sales measure fell 5 per cent for the five-week period ended Jan. 2. By division, the key revenue measure at Gap fell 2 per cent, while Banana Republic posted a 9 per cent drop.
