Flight Dynamics Engineer 1512091 Job Description We are looking for a Flight Dynamics Engineer to support our client ESA at their site ESOC, within the Sentinels Flight Dynamics Team Your main areas of responsiblity are To support the Flight Dynamics Operations in routine and special operations including LEOP and deorbiting of the assigned Sentinels Missions, and provide expertise on those areas to any other Sentinels when required Sentinels Flight Dynamics software exploitation, operation and maintenance, including development of tools e.g. scripts, etc to operate such systems Support to Sentinels launch campaigns FD system tests, simulations to prepare and validate operational support Oncall, and eventually call in, support to support potential collision avoidance manoeuvres Generic flight dynamics support to other Sentinels Ground segment systems and teams FCT, SIM officer, ground stations, Required Skills and Experience Background in mathematics, mechanics and dynamics Mature problem solving skills Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Fluency in English Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Familiarity with operational training Familiarity with FD systems Familiarity with programmingscripting languages Familiarity with ESOC FD infrastructure software used for Earth Observation missions Experience working with operational missions in orbit determination and control, and particular previous experience with CopernicusSentinels missions Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in working in an operational environment Familiarity with FORTRAN programming language Experience in operational training Familiarity with the ESOC working environment and Quality Management System QMS Knowledge of flight dynamics operations on EO satellites, Experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns of satellites.
