Microsoft has signed off on the final version (the RTM) of Windows 8.1 Update 1. According to one of our internal sources, the new version of Windows 8 is on schedule to be released on April 8, just after Microsoft's Build conference. You will probably be glad to hear that most of the changes in Windows 8.1 Update 1 are focused on making the OS usable for mouse-and-keyboard users.
