The position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to work as part of a large multinational software system development with teams spread across Europe in the space ground segment domain for the European Space Agency. The system is developed on a modern software technology platform. The position is ideally suited for a degree educated engineer with informatics or similar technical degree, very good practical experience in software design, development, integration, and testing with Java and related technologies. Advanced knowledge of software development environments incorporating version control systems, code repository management, build automation, and test automation on all levels unit testing, integration testing and system validation testing as well as Continuous Integration is considered a substantial advantage. This position offers the possibility to become a team leader. To support the independent integration and validation IVT of a large multinational software system development with Design and development of test software for integration and validation testing Design and development of infrastructure software used by all components Establishment, maintenance, and evolution of the software development environment for the complete project Support to development teams for the use of the development environment and the infrastructure Establishment of test plans Acceptance and integration of software delivered by development teams Validation of software releases and delivery to the customer Support to the customer and processing of feedback provided by the customer RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES The Software Engineer .will join the the Software Integration and Validation Team and will participate in all activities identified above. Software Systems Engineer Bristol 40k60k A professional engineering and consultancy services company to spacecraft operators and spacecraft primes is actively seeking a Software Systems Engineer. Tasks The Space Division seeks a versatile, knowledgeable and experienced senior software or systems engineer for its spacecraft ground segment activities. The successful candidate will become part of the successful Ground Segment operations group with the responsibility for supporting the overall specification, design, deployment and acceptance of spacecraft ground software systems. The first assignment involves performing a customer facing onsite role for the Galileo mission and will interface with all levels of the project from the end customers, users and subcontractors.
