As Galileo Second Generation G2G satellite navigation payload signal processing engineer, your main tasks and responsibilities will include Contribution to implementation of navigation signals processing on G2G satellites Implementation of mathematical models, algorithms and data analysis tools e.g. fordigital and analogue signal processing of multiplexed CDMA signals in navigation satellites, parametric performance assessment of signals and satellite characteristics, performance evaluation of signal distortions due to linearnonlinear signal distortions, interference, multipath etc. representative signal processing within GNSS receivers incl. sensor fusion performance evaluation of GNSS receiver measurements, etc. Support to implementation of navigation signal quality and performance monitoring algorithms Support to verification of G2G satellite payload navigation signals Performance of postprocessing, trending and assessment of measurement data Support to tradeoffanalysis and modelling of measurements Contribution to nonconformance resolution and support to Nonconformance Review Board NRB meetings Presentation and discussion of results in front of national and international customers We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience University degree in Navigation Electrical Engineering Communication Techniques Telecommunications Signal Processing Physics or equivalent Solid and proven experience in complex digital signal processing, ideally for broadband modulated signals and on signal distortion aspects Solid and proven experience in GNSS signal design and analysis Demonstrated strong ability to analyse complex technical problems and find innovative solutions Strong skills in rapid and clean engineering software generation and usage Matlab andor CC Readiness to handle confidential data Skills for clear and efficient communication in spoken and written forms in English language Capability to work in an international team and with international customers e.g. ESA, EC, EUSPA on Europeaninternational projects Flexibility to work in different European locations with our partners What do we offer Challenging tasks onwith unique services and products Pleasant working atmosphere in a competent and international environment Exciting development opportunities and prospects Extensive range of company training eLearning and classroom training Flexible working hours Compatibility of career and family Attractive remuneration Company pension scheme Good public transport connections and onsite parking facilities Catering facilities on site

Summary Brand new opportunity for an experienced Telecomms Satellite engineer to join the Telespazio UK team, working onsite at ECSAT supporting novel technology development under the ARTES programme. Objective The post will allow the successful individual to identify and support technological advances and trends within telecommunications satellites. They will have the opportunity to develop and drive their vision and work plan within payload applications in the telecommunications domain. Responsibilities Duties The successful individual can expect to be involved in Supporting the initiation of activities related to technology and product development for payload applications. Supporting the establishment and control of relevant ESA requirements, specifications and general documentation. Evaluating, supporting negotiations, monitoring and controlling development contracts and activities. Preparing inputs to status reports. Qualifications Experience University Masters degree or PhD or equivalent qualification in engineering or related discipline Experience in payload technology and products for telecommunication satellites. Essential Skills General experience with the design, analysis, qualification, testing and implementation of satellite payload equipment for telecommunication satellites Experience within one, or more, of the following areas Management of development contracts for satellite payload equipment. Design, development andor exploitation of antenna, digital or RF units, including low noise amplifiers, channel amplifiers and linearisers, power amplifiers, frequency converters, digital signal processors Knowledge of multiple different types of payload equipment and their functions at payload level Wider knowledge of the ARTES programme and Satcom market Strong understanding of active antenna operating prinicples, as well as implementation options and challenges.
