Support the MTG operations preparations activities, mainly at Space Segment level but including also Ground Segment aspects Support, as requested, the satellite simulator development procurement followup and maintenance and provide the necessary input to the simulator team. Review technical notes and attendance at technical meetings and reviews Participation to the definition and execution of the Operational System Validation activities such as SVTs, rehearsals and the necessary training activities for the various operations personnel prior to system commissioning. Contribute to the definition of MTG commissioning activities. On call is required as part of this role. Required Skills and Experience You will have a University degree Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, and a minimum of one year experience in spacecraft operations. Within the Operations and Services to Users Department, the Flight Operations Division FLO is charged to conduct space system flight operations, flight dynamics, mission analysis and mission control safely to maximize the mission return. Within FLO, the Meteosat Satellite Operations Team is responsible for the inorbit operations of four geostationary satellites Meteosat78910. Operations andor implementation of Flight Software Subsystem. The Key person shall be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, demonstrating analytical approach and attention to detail and shall be able to work calmly and correctly under stress and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore the key persons must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other.
