We are looking a Simulator Systems Modelling Engineer to lend support in ESAs Systems Modelling Functional Verification Section, in the Directorate of Technical and Quality Assurance, located at ESTEC in Noordwijk. Tasks You will provide support to the section activities in the areas of system performance evaluation and system and architecture modelling. The activities will be in the area of Endtoend performance simulators for space missions, in terms of the related simulator development software, processor development for data products and formalisation of corresponding simulator architectures in the areas of Earth Observation and Space Science System modelling in support of formalising the system description subject to evaluation. Support to the requirements engineering and the subsequent verification and validation activities at system and software level Experience and education The candidate shall have practical experience of performance simulators and system modelling. University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Experience of simulator development, functional and performance Background in data processor development Knowledge of system modelling with formal methods e.g. SysML Experience in system requirements and verification engineering Good knowledge of related methods and tools An ability to work independently and to establish good working relations is essential.
