Blooms of barrel jellyfish that can grow up to the size of a dustbin lid have been spotted on the south coast after a summer-like climate made a brief appearance. Guardian: The south-west may be home to some of the cleanest beaches in the UK, but the first survey of its kind in over 40 years shows that it is also a thriving area for the country's jellyfish.
