Job description For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking an experienced Information Management Requirements and Business Process Engineer to work within EUMETSATs Enterprise Information Management Team EIM of the Information and Communication Technology Support ICT Section. The ICT Section is develops, maintains and operates the EUMETSAT Office Computing Infrastructure running technical, scientific, administrative and desktop applications and providing support to the users in the whole organisation on these systems. The EIM is the ICT interface for business users requesting new Information management systems or enhancements to existing ones. This includes collaborating with the various business units within EUMETSAT to extract and define end user requirements and ensure these are correctly translated into technical requirements by the ICT implementation team. During projects and system roll outs of systems, business user interactions and feedback are managed to ensure the solution fulfils the needs. The EIM team is also responsible to provide user support, develop user manuals and trainings in addition to train users. The major Information Management related systems are Document Management Tool and workflow for electronic signing of documents based on Oracle WebCenterContent and SOABPEL Intranet based on Oracle WebCenter Stellent a project has started to migrate to Liferay A number of bespoke web applications based on Java A number of projects are planned for electronic workflows for review of documents, digital signing of documents, archiving and records management, etc. in addition to enhancements to existing systems. Responsibilities Whenever EUMETSAT users raise needs for new IT systems or enhancements to existing ones, you will interact with the business users to understand their underlying needs and formulate and document them as end user requirements. It is foreseen, that the key tasks will include as a minimum Interact with business users to understand their underlying needs and identify if an IT system would be suitable to meet their needs Collaborate with business users to understand their processes, suggest process improvements where possible and extract and define end user requirements Cooperate with the Information Management IM team in the Process Assurance and Management Support Division PRS, in particular when processes are assessed and addressed Document resulting processes in cooperation with the PRS IM team and end user requirements in suitable formats, e.g. in process diagrams, use cases, wire frames or requirements specifications, etc Support the implementation team in defining the related technical requirements Facilitate business user interactions during implementation projects to ensure the solutions meet their needs Initiate and facilitate the acceptance and roll out phases of the system and subsequent pilot phases including preparation of user manuals or similar and delivering training to business users In addition, you will provide support to Contribute to project planning and reporting Provide training on the various Information Management systems Contribute to the knowledge build up inside the team in business process and requirements engineering Support the improvement and documentation of business processes inside ICT Document tasks and deliverables according to EUMETSAT working practices This is a fulltime position with a planned starting date ASAP.
