The Microsoft service is managed by KPN and integrated with its other services such as mobile telephony to provide large organisations with a complete communications service. Microsoft adds 12 mln active Teams users in past week

(Telecompaper) Microsoft has grown the daily active user base for its Teams messaging platform by 12 million in the past week, from 32 million users to 44 million as of 19 March. The number has more than doubled since November 2019 when it last gave customer figures. The company announced the user figures along with new features for the app launching later this year.

The next version of Microsoft's HoloLens may be better at navigating reality than the current version of the mixed-reality headset, thanks to a new coprocessor the company announced Sunday. The second version of HoloLens' custom multiprocessor -- called a "holographic processing unit," or HPU -- will incorporate artificial intelligence technology, Harry Shum, executive vice president of the Artificial Intelligence and Research Group.
