For the worlds leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, we are currently recruiting a Mechanical System Architect. As a Mechanical System Architect you should think conceptually and creatively. We are looking for people who can translate extremely exotic system requirements into extremely feasible mechanical designs. Creative thinking is essential. The machines made are almost unimaginably complex and work within incredibly minute tolerances. The complexity is increasing and the tolerance margins are vanishing. Thats why we are looking for Mechanical System Architects with a global system view that answers all of these technical challenges. A view that will help realise a machine that meets all of the next wave of new system requirements and still be feasible to manufacture, transport, install and service. The systems will be now totally reinvent and take the quantum leap from 300mm wafers to 450mm wafers. This is a seriously inspiring challenge, where you will work on in multidisciplinary teams, with likeminded professionals, developing solutions to exciting problems. You will be responsible for the delivery of a large complex metrology frame with many complex interfaces and subnanometre stability requirements. Many critical modules will be mounted on this frame, which will be developed concurrently by other project leaders. You will be responsible to meet the specified requirements of this total integrated subsystem. You will do this by strong requirement management, and getting all hidden interdependencies on the table. Experience and education University degree in mechanical engineering. At least 10 years experience in creating and realizing new machine concepts or large complex modules. Knowledge of NX or other 3D design tool. Leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire. Sound networking skills. Eager to learn new technical skills via daily interaction with likeminded professionals.
