In the eyes of the thousands of developers who are attending Google I/O 2013, yesterday's keynote will have been a riotous roller coaster ride of new and exciting news. From a consumer's perspective, though -- and there were one million of them watching the live stream from home -- the keynote was a bit disappointing. Why did Google decide to focus on developers on the one day of the year that the whole world is looking on? Source: Ohio State University Soybean planting is off to a slower start across the region, including Ohio, compared to the 10-year average (National Agricultural Statistics Service). During the week of April 29-May 5, generally 23% of Ohio soybean acres are planted. However, this year only 1% of the soybean acres were planted due to cool/wet soil conditions. With the slow start, its important to consider planting date, seeding rate and relative maturity when planting soybeans this spring. read more
