Dependability Safety Engineer

We are currently looking for a Dependability Safety Engineer to support our customer in France. Dependability Safety Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will be part of the EGNOS Product Assurance and Safety team in Toulouse. You will have the following responsibilities Contribute to establishing and implementing programmatic and technical dependability and safety assurance requirements Support the monitoring of the performance of the Contractors dependability and safety assurance programs Support to the concurrent design facility CDF studies by performing technical risk assessment and relevant dependability and safety analyses Support dependability and safety verification activities, including hazard closeout and disposition of related NCR, RFW and Critical Items Direct and control risk reduction processes and any necessary preventive and corrective actions Evaluate proposed concepts, designs and operations for compliance with defined dependability and safety requirements Support research and study activities in the fields of dependability and safety requirements, techniques, tools and integrated engineering process methodologies and risk management methods. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering Several years experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain Knowledge of the ESA NCTS NonConformance Tracking System application Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards DO178. DO278, DO254 Knowledge and experience in the fields of Global Navigation Satellite Systems Knowledge in EASA CS and EC regulations for European Air Traffic Management Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse team Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a minimum of a master degree in a science andor aerospace discipline together with at least five years of the RAMS application experience in engineering space programs, especially in ground andor ground based systems. At least three years of relevant experience in design and engineering of safety critical systems Handson knowledge of the RAMS analyses and methodologies, hardware and software, and preparation of relevant RAMS documentation covering the overall project life cycle and application of ECSS dependability and safety standards. Knowledge of RTCADO178C Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification and related certification schemes, and experience in interfacing certification authorities is considered an asset. Knowledge of EU Safety Directive as Directive 9837EC Machinery, Directive 9992EC Risk from Explosive Atmospheres, Directive 9723EC Pressure Equipment and the other safety directives relevant for space Familiarity with, space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate RAMS tools Good communication skills are required. Essential Skills Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards, DO178, DO278 and DO254 Knowledge and experience in the fields of Global Navigation Satellite Systems Knowledge in EASA CS and EC regulations for European Air Traffic Management Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and have an attitude to cooperation and to accomplish solutions in line with team objectives Desirable Skills Experience in dependability and safety engineering management processes and objectives, experience during operations is an advantage.
