Singapore Airlines posted a notice on its website on Sunday, saying it won't allow passengers to carry their hoverboards onto flights, whether hand-carried or in checked in baggage. It pointed to all "small lithium battery-powered personal transportation devices," naming hoverboards, solowheels and airwheels in its updated travel restrictions page.

TODAY reports: SIA last month made a S$453 million offer to buy out the other shareholders of Tigerair, but some of the budget carrier's minority shareholders felt SIA's offer was "not reasonable". SINGAPORE: The Securities Investors Association Singapore has appealed to the board of Singapore Airlines on behalf of long-term Tiger Airways minority shareholders, asking SIA to revise its buyout offer and extend the deadline for acceptance by two weeks.

Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong exits Virgin Australia board

Singapore Airlines chief executive Goh Choon Phong has stepped down from the Virgin Australia board in favour of his alternate, in a move that leaves Air New Zealand's Christopher Luxon as the only chief executive representative of the Australian carrier's three airline shareholders. Mr Goh, Mr Luxon and Etihad Airways chief executive James Hogan had all joined the Virgin board when invitations were extended after their airlines participated in a $350 million capital raising in 2013.
