Phase Control Thyristors handle currents up to 25 A.
2014-07-03 14:31:02| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Supplied in standard TO-48 package, 25RIA Series ranges from 100–1,200 V with max repetitive peak and off-state voltage from 100–1,200 V. Stud-style devices feature max non-repetitive peak voltage range of 150–1,300 V and max on-state voltage of 1.70 V. DC gate current required to trigger is 60 mA. Operating from -65 to +125°C, single-phase silicon controlled rectifiers provide optimized glass passivation and are suited for AC/DC converters, DC power supplies, and machine tool controls. Study discovers link between climate change and ocean currents over six million years
2014-06-12 13:00:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
PhysOrg: Scientists have discovered a relationship between climate change and ocean currents over the past six million years after analysing an area of the Atlantic near the Strait of Gibraltar, according to research published today in the journal Science. An expedition of scientists, jointly led by Dr Javier Hernandez-Molina, from the Department of Earth Sciences at Royal Holloway, University of London, examined core samples from the seabed off the coast of Spain and Portugal which provided proof of shifts...
Scientists In Singapore Develop Novel Ultra-Fast Electrical Circuits Using Light-Generated Tunneling Currents

Assistant Professor Christian A. Nijhuis of the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Faculty of Science, in collaboration with researchers from the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), namely Dr Bai Ping of the Institute of High Performance Computing and Dr Michel Bosman of the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering has successfully designed and fabricated electrical circuits that can operate at hundreds of terahertz frequencies, which is tens of thousands times faster than today’s state-of-the-art microprocessors.

Climate change disturbing deep ocean currents: Study
2014-03-22 10:14:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
Indo-Asian News Service: The recent climate change may be acting to slow down deep ocean currents with potentially serious consequences for the planet's future, a study warns. Deep currents act as conveyer belts, channelling heat, carbon, oxygen and nutrients around the globe. A new study by the University of Pennsylvania's Irina Marinov and Raffaele Bernardello and colleagues from McGill University has found that recent climate change may be acting to slow down one of these conveyer belts - with potentially serious...
