On a visit with Connecticut police chiefs, FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday that he spoke about how law enforcement can participate better in the national conversation about race and policing. "As you would expect in the Nutmeg State, it was a thoughtful and rich conversation," said Comey, a former attorney for Bridgewater Associates, a Westport-based hedge fund, who still considers Connecticut home.

Police evacuated the U.S. Capitol and its visitors' center while closing area streets on Tuesday as alarms sounded in both buildings. Kimberly Schneider, a spokeswoman for U.S. Capitol Police, said officers were investigating the cause of an audible alarm and had told people to leave the Capitol and the connecting visitors' center.

The family and friends of Port Arthur Police Officer Joe Paul hosted a fundraiser to honor his son - Logan Paul's memory and raise money for his young family and awareness about the dangers of driving impaired. The elder Paul said his son was in Arizona living out his dream as a Harley Davidson mechanic before he was killed by a drunk driver while riding his own Harley last Saturday night.
