T-Mobile US adds 1.3 mln postpaid customers in Q4, beating FY guidance

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US added a net 1.9 million new customers in the fourth quarter, taking its total base to 86 million at year-end. The new additions included 1.3 million new postpaid customers, helping the company beat its full-year guidance with a total 4.5 million postpaid subscribers added in 2019.

T-Mobile moves up to number 2 in Dutch mobile market, number 1 in postpaid

(Telecompaper) While all three mobile operator groups posted lower revenue on an annual basis in Q3 2019, T-Mobile's decline was the smallest, pro forma for the Tele2 takeover, according to Telecompaper's Dutch Mobile Operators Q3 2019 report. The operator's service revenue market share rose to 30.9 percent, while Vodafone, which had the biggest fall in revenue in Q3, dropped to a share of 29.6 percent. KPN remains market leader, with its revenue share little changed in the past year at 39.5 percent, despite a drop in subscriber numbers.

T-Mobile US launches 5G network

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US said it lit up the country's first nationwide 5G network, covering more than 200 million people and more than 5,000 cities and towns all across the country. The 5G network covers more than 1 million square miles, much of that in rural America. If the merger with Sprint closes, the new T-Mobile will be able to build on this foundation to deliver "transformational broad and deep 5G for all", the company said.
