MTS sees revenue growth slowing from 9% in Q1

(Telecompaper) Revenues of Russian operator MTS increased by 8.9 percent year-on-year to RUB 119.6 billion in the first quarter, led by solid growth in its home market. Group adjusted OIBDA rose 1.6 percent to RUB 51.5 billion, and net profit increased by 0.8 percent to RUB 17.7 billion. Nevertheless, MTS lowered its outlook for the full year due to the uncertain economic outlook, saying it now expects revenues flat to 3 percent higher and OIBDA flat to 2 percent lower. Capex is still expected at around RUB 90 billion, after increased spending of RUB 19.9 billion in Q1.

Eutelsat sees marginal revenue impact from Covid-19 pandemic, plans 30% dividend cut

(Telecompaper) Satellite operator Eutelsat trimmed its full-year revenue outlook due to the Covid-19 crisis. Its operating verticals are now expected to generate EUR 1.25 billion in FY 2019/2020, representing a drop of at least EUR 20 million from previous guidance (EUR 1.27-1.32 billion).

Orange Poland sees lower FY revenue outlook but keeps EBITDA forecast unchanged

(Telecompaper) Orange Poland has issued a statement about the impact it expects the coronavirus pandemic to have on its operations and financial prospects. The operator expects its core operations to remain relatively immune from the impact. The company maintains high liquidity and sufficient financing of its operations and capital expenditures. All of its debt is in the Polish currency and it does not expect to have any refinancing needs this year. Still, the company does not expect to meet its revenue guidance for the year. It will be keeping its EBITDA forecast for the moment.

Huawei sees 'difficult' 2020 after slower revenue growth of 18% in 2019

(Telecompaper) Huawei rotating chairman Eric Xu gave a New Year's message to employees and customers, saying 2020 will likely be a "difficult" year, with growth continuing its slowdown on the back of US trade actions, Reuters reported. Xu said revenues for this year are expected at CNY 850 billion (USD 121.72 billion), up 18 percent year-on-year but slower than the 19.5 percent increase the year before and in general, lower than expected.
