(Telecompaper) Telefonica reported a small increase in organic results for 2018, saying it made progress on key objectives such as a growing share of high-value customers and lower debt. The Spanish operator said it expects a similar modest increase in organic results in 2019 and aims to maintain its dividend at 40 cents a share.

Swisscom posts stable revenue in 2018, sees fall in 2019

(Telecompaper) Swisscom's net revenues in 2018 amounted to CHF 11.71 billion, a slight increase of 0.4 percent year-on-year and better than its outlook for flat revenues. Annual EBITDA fell 1.9 percent to CHF 4.21 billion, in line with guidance, and the EBITDA margin was down from 36.8 percent in 2017 to 36.0 percent in 2018. For 2019, Swisscom expects net revenue to drop to around CHF 11.4 billion, EBITDA to improve to over CHF 4.3 billion and capital expenditure of around CHF 2.3 billion.

AT&T sees flat mobile service revenue in Q2, Mexico operations hurt by stronger dollar

(Telecompaper) AT&T has reiterated a target to return its mobile business to service revenue growth over the full year 2018. However, the company warned for continued weakness in the pay-TV market and said its international operations are suffering from the stronger dollar. The updated outlook was given by AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson and CFO John Stephens at an investors conference held by WellsFargo.
