ADHD drugs: US adult users now surpass children

Adults in the U.S. have overtaken children in taking medication for the condition and accounted for 53 per cent of the industrywide 63 million prescriptions for ADHD drugs last year, according to data compiled by Shire Plc, which makes the top-selling Vyvanse treatment. That compared with 39 per cent in 2007, the Dublin-based drug maker said.

Quarter of Dutch smartphone users have iPhone

(Telecompaper) Smartphone penetration is still growing in the Netherlands, adding nine percent points in the past year, according to the 'Dutch Smartphone User' report from Telecompaper. Among people aged 65-80, smartphone penetration passed 50 percent in the first quarter of 2015. The report also found that Apple's iPhone now accounts for 25 percent of smartphones in use in the country.

AT&T Faces $100 Million Fine for Slowing iPhone, Other Unlimited Data Users

The Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday announced plans to fine AT&T Mobility a record $100 million for violating Internet regulations by failing to disclose that the company had slowed the speeds of millions of customers who subscribed to its unlimited data plans. The mobile -phone giant generated billions of dollars from customers it knowingly misled, running afoul of a transparency regulation that required AT&T disclose accurate information so customers could make informed choices concerning their use of Internet services, according to an FCC official during a press call.

Samsung phones come pre-installed with the Swift keyboard which has a vulnerability that could allow an attacker to remotely tap into GPS, camera and microphone, eavesdrop on text messages and calls and more. During the Black Hat London presentation "Abusing Android Apps and Gaining Remote Code Execution," NowSecure mobile security researcher Ryan Welton revealed that over 600 million Samsung mobile devices are vulnerable to an attack that is "highly reliable, completely silent, and affects all devices."
