New Delhi, Feb 1 Jet Airways will introduce a new in-flight service for streaming of entertainment content directly to wi-fi enabled personal devices of the passengers.The airline would offer in-flight entertainment streaming service in phases and enable passengers to stream their selection from the wide range of multilingual content available inboard. "The streaming service will be introduced on the Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft in the Jet Airways fleet starting from the second quarter of 2016," it said in a statement today.Streaming of content can be done through wireless mode to wi-fi enabled personal devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.

In a bid to expand its portfolio of cloud-based computing services, International Business Machines Corp. has acquired Ustream Inc., a seller of video streaming services, in a deal valued at $130 million. Ustream adds to IBM's growing portfolio of video services and gives the company a stronger position in a market that could be worth $105 billion by 2019 as businesses increasingly use video as way of reaching customers, according to Steve Canepa, the general manager of telecommunications media and entertainment at IBM.
