APRA lifts mortgage capital on big banks by billions of dollars

The big four banks and Macquarie will have to carry more capital against mortgages after the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority said on Monday the average "risk weighting" for home loans needs to rise from around 16 per cent to "at least 25 per cent". APRA's move, which the market has been expecting and will be welcomed by the regional banks, will require the big banks to fund their lending with billions of extra dollars of equity capital.

J&J lifts outlook although strong dollar weighs

J&J said it now expects to post per-share earnings of $6.10 a share to $6.20 a share, up from its previous guidance of $6.04 a share to $6.19 a share. New Brunswick, N.J.-based J&J is facing patent expirations and increased competition for many of its pharma products, such as its hepatitis C treatment Olysio.

Com Hem lifts Q2 revenue amid price changes

(Telecompaper) Swedish operator Com Hem said revenue in the second quarter of 2015 rose by 4.0 percent year on year to SEK 1.246 billion from SEK 1.198 billion as it implemented price changes. Consumer revenue rose to SEK 936 million from SEK 877 million in the second quarter of 2014. Revenue from services to property owners fell to SEK 175 million this year from SEK 196 million. B2B revenue grew to SEK 77 million from SEK 70 million last time.
