Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. For the location in Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at EUMETSAT. Tasks The Key Person will be part of the GEO QA Team which provides support to the GEO Programmes MTG and MSG. Herhis tasks will be allocated in support of the MTG Ground Segment activities, in particular in support of mission operations systems, in accordance with the plan and priorities assigned by the GEO QA Programme Manager and the MTG GS QA Engineer in closed coordination with the MTG and MSG Management level of the area of activities where the Key Person is allocated. In this framework, the main tasks of the Key Person will include the following Implement EUMETSAT QA policies in the assigned areas, in accordance with the MTG and MSG System QA plans and all relevant applicable Standards, Technical and QA documents, Procedures and Working Practices that are applicable to the ongoing projects phases Ensure that the assigned MTG and MSG processes are implemented in accordance with their relevant QA working practices and procedures Support maintenance of GEO QA Working Practices and procedures suggest and support the establishment of improvements of the available QA documentation, aiming at process efficiency and synergy Support the establishment of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the main processes within the assigned areas. Provide proactive suggestions for process improvement, based on these metrics and other observations Work with and in support of the MTG Ground Segment Teams and of the MSG Operations Preparations Team, in order to ensure that Quality Assurance policies and methods are taken into account during all involved lifecycle phases Provide dedicated QA support to the production of the technical and programmatic documents relevant to the MTG Programme, MTG Ground Segment and its facilities and elements Critically review technical and management documents issued in support to the MTG GS Facilities procurement Support, as Review secretary, the Programme Reviews and Check Points planned for MTG and MSG, ensuring that the relevant Organisation Note arrangements are correctly implemented, and that the support tool to be used for the Reviews is properly configured and available Support the MTG GS Facilities procurement activities and the connected processes, ensuring that the applicable QA requirements are correctly implemented Support QA activities during the Facilities development and production process, interfacing with the EUMETSAT Technical Officers, the relevant crossdivisional EUMETSAT Teams and with the Industry Quality Assurance QAProduct Assurance PA counterparts Support monitoring of the implementation of the agreed QA Plans and procedures within the Industry and others Organisations including ESA activities, including Subtiers Support coordination of the anomaly and nonconformances review process in the assigned areas Support the preparation and conduct of QA audits on Industry and within EUMETSAT in the areas connected with MTG GS activities, in line with the MTG GS Contractors Suppliers Quality Assurance Audit Plan Support regular reporting to the MTG GS QA Engineer, to the GEO QA Manager, and to GS Manager concerned on all QA aspects related to MTG GS and MSG4 activities Attend and support weekly GEO QA Team coordination meetings and programme meetings if so required. Essential requirements The Key Person is required to have the skills, capability and experience level adequate to ensure the fulfilment with a high degree of autonomy of the tasks indicated in Section 3. A University degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Sciences or a related discipline is required. The Key Person shall have at least 10 years of specific experience in Quality and Product Assurance QAPAin AerospaceSpace Programmes, and have good interpersonal and mediation skills. Specific experience on QAPA processes on satellite Ground Segments, satellite Mission Control and Operations is required, and experience on Satellite data processing will be considered an advantage. For the fulfilment of the tasks listed in Section 3, candidates shall be in possession of the following mandatory skills Significant handson experience in QAPA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control, and QAPA performance metrics Knowledge and application of aerospacespace Product and Quality Assurance standards Knowledge of and experience in applying ISO 9001 Standards Multiyear experience in the implementation of QA policies and methods in procurement contracts for complex products such as ground segment systems. Experience in providing QA support to SW products throughout their complete development lifecycle. Experience in following HWSW products integration and verification Significant handson experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. Tasks The Technical Scientific Support TSS department is responsible for providing all engineering, data product specification and project support expertise to the Operations Services to Users OPS and the Programme Preparation Development PRD departments. TSS also provides management support to all EUMETSAT departments via ist Process Assurance and Management Support division PRS, including quality assurance, defined as a set of quality policy objectives and responsibilities. Quality Assurance in TSS is defined and applied to TSS processes Process Assurance and to the products delivered by the department Product Assurance. The Key person defined in Article 12 of the Contract shall contribute to the Provision of Quality Assurance support to TSS, supporting the PRS Quality Assurance engineer who has the responsibility for coordinating QA support within the TSS Department. The Quality Assurance Engineering support role will consist of the following main tasks Assisting in the definition and implementation of TSS processes i.e. engineering, management and supporting processes PerformingSupporting assessments of TSS processes and recommending improvements Monitoring selected processes, such as anomaly management processes, and providing statistics on them Supporting TSS risk management processes and associated reviews Providing support in the implementation and improvement of the TSS Quality Assurance Plan and quality processes in TSS Providing training in Quality matters to members of TSS. Essential requirements As a minimum, the Key Person shall have a university degree or equivalent, education in Quality Assurance, and a minimum of 5 years experience in one or more positions utilising skills as listed in the following section. The following attributes are essential for this position Good knowledge of the ISO 9000 series Experience of working in an environment where an ISO 9001 certified management system is established and maintained Knowledge of the management, engineering and quality assurance activities performed for a project, as typically defined in a formal project management methodology. Experience of documenting work activities in the form of process definitions, procedures and working practices, plus good userviewpoint writing skills Experience of Quality Assurance auditing process assessment Skilled in proficiently using Microsoft Office tools suite. Desirable requirements One or more of the following will be considered an advantage Knowledge of Quality Management Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines Possession of an auditing qualification Knowledge of IT service management service related processes Experience of working in an operational systems environment Experience in IT andor softwareintensive engineering projects Knowledge of the ECSS standards.
