A vacancy for a Chief Engineer for Harness Products mf has opened up at Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. Within the MSC Harness group of the MSC ElectricsPower Harness department in the Telecom Satellites directorate, you will be responsible for the harness product. This will cover the call for tender, the definition, technical followup during manufacturing, and the satellite integration phases. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be During the harness product quotation phase for the calls for tender Interfacing with the Proposal Management teams Customising the cost model, covering the customdesignmanufacturingAIT phases Customising the type and number of fuse boxes Customising the number of remote control and telemetry boards for the payload. During the harness specification phase for the telecom satellites Ensuring integration in the custom project group Collecting the input data required for the definition of the satellite harness Producing the wiring specification and the list of links to the Design Office and the AIT teams PTH, STV, TLS functional electrical definition compliant with the established rules and processes customisation of the DC harness generic specification During industrial steering Producing the Lean harness schedule with the specific programme aspects, and ensuring its application, compliance with milestones, monitoring and adaptations. Summarising all the costs included in the quote Being the focal point for the Management Controller for the harness product EAC0, Delta EAC, NQ Interfacing with the internalexternal Design Office in charge of cabin furnishing design and the compilation of the manufacturing dossier Being the technical satellite harness focal point for the project Interfacing with the Commodity Manager and Supply Chain teams for the followup of harness subcontractors For technical followup In compliance with the harness specification, ensuring its correct production Participating in the design, test and acceptance reviews Following up installation and anomalies on the AIT product up until launch Ensuring compliance with the specification requirements For innovation Defining and producing WPs for future telecoms PF NEO, RCC ENERGIA, etc.. This position may involve oncall duties to provide support to AIT in certain critical phases once per year for a period of one week. Business trips within Western Europe will be necessary 1 2 times per year, for a maximum of one week. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies Qualification as an engineer or equivalent university degree Masters level, ideally in electrics andor electronics. first experience in electrical engineering, Ideally you have first experience in industrial steering and in the development and industrialisation of products with short cycles, Good knowledge of the harness techniques used in the space domain, and of the payload Excellent knowledge of the ESCC, ECSS, IPC, MIL and NASA standards applicable to wiring products Knowledge of the databases used for the Eurostar 3000 harness design and of the Lean telecom harness process Knowledge of space materials and technologies Good team player, strong summary skills.
