The engineer will be part of the Comms team currently 10 people. Hisher role will be to maintain and develop monitoring systems for the network and to provide an information base containing configurations, reports and procedures. These activities entail assuming responsibility, at the technical and coordination level, for technical specification, planning, preparation, presentation, execution and reporting. Critical activities will typically be executed by small teams, where depending on hisher expertise and background, the engineer shall be able to assume both the leading key engineer as well as the support role. The activities will take place under the management of the Communications Systems Team Leader or a delegated representative, within the framework of the TSS Department relevant processes, and in full coordination with other inhouse maintenance and engineering and operations teams. A further role will be to interface and liaise with third parties, e.g. service providers and suppliers, for matters related to the services andor products they supply, or to peer with organisations and users, in support of joint activities. Tasks The Generic Systems and Infrastructure GSI Division is one of the divisions within the Technical and Scientific Support TSS Department and is responsible for establishing, maintaining and upgrading generic ground segment functions, services and infrastructure in response to operational and future programmes requirements.
