Xiaomi revenue growth slows to 5.5% in Q3 as smartphone sales turn lower

(Telecompaper) Xiaomi reported revenues for the third quarter of CNY 53.7 billion, up 5.5 percent from a year earlier. While smartphone revenues fell 7.8 percent to CNY 32.3 billion, the company said it improved gross margins and continued to grow its services business and in other consumer products.

(Telecompaper) Iliad reported group revenues of EUR 1.34 billion for the third quarter to September, up 8.1 percent year-on-year (+8.4% in H1). In its core French market, growth in service revenues improved for the third consecutive quarter, as Free returned to positive customer growth in the fixed broadband segment. Alongside its financial results, the company unveiled plans for a EUR 1.4 billion public share buyback offer and announced the adoption of a new dividend policy of EUR 2.60 per share.

Vodafone returns to service revenue growth in Q2, raises FY EBITDA forecast

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Group reported a small rise of 0.4 percent in revenues for its fiscal first half to September to EUR 21.94 billion, helped by its takeover of activities from Liberty Global from August. Adjusted EBITDA was up 2.7 percent to EUR 7.11 billion, while the net result was a loss of EUR 1.89 billion due to one-time charges in India.

(Telecompaper) Lenovo saw its revenue growth slow to 1 percent in the fiscal second quarter to September, to USD 13.52 billion, as the uncertain economic climate started to weigh on sales. Profits continued to show double-digit growth, on improved margins in the mobile phone, PC and data centre businesses.
