With efficiency-optimized design that eliminates need for pressure reducing valve, condensate pump, and safety relief valve, vertical flooded steam heat exchanger solution consists of vertical heat exchanger with small control valve on condensate return line. This enables flooding of heat exchanger for extraction of latent heat as well as sensible heat impossible with horizontal heat exchanger systems. Also, design eliminates need for vacuum breaker; oxygen is never injected in return lines.

Jan 8 The U.S. oil rig count this week dropped to the lowest level in over five years as energy firms stepped up the rate of idling rigs after one of the worst years in almost 30 years for drilling, data showed on Friday. Drillers removed 20 oil rigs in the week ended Jan. 8, bringing the total rig count RIG-OL-USA-BHI down to 516, the least since April 2010, oil services company Baker Hughes Inc said in its closely followed report.

Oilfield services company Baker Hughes Inc. says the number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. declined by two this week to 698. The Houston firm said Thursday 536 rigs sought oil and 162 explored for natural gas amid depressed energy prices.
