Reuters: Brazil pledged on Sunday to slash greenhouse gas emissions by 43 percent by 2030 as its contribution to a United Nations climate agreement, but said it will include reductions from past efforts against deforestation to help it reach the target. Houston a Oilfield services company Baker Hughes Inc. said the number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. declined this week by four to 838. Utah was one of 10 states in which the rig counts were unchanged, Houston-based Baker Hughes said Friday in its weekly report.

Oilfield services company Baker Hughes Inc. says the number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. this week declined by six to 842. Houston-based Baker Hughes said Friday that 644 rigs were seeking oil and 198 explored for natural gas.
