There have been a lot of rumors about the iPhone 7 over the past few weeks even though the new handset isn't expected to arrive before the fall. The latest suggests that Apple is developing a new pair of premium Bluetooth earphones which will debut with the iPhone 7. Apparently they are going to be truly wireless meaning that the left and right earpieces will be completely separate with no wires connecting the two.

Apple cuts iPhone production amid fears of slowing demand

A report from Nikkei on Tuesday said that Apple is expected to cut iPhone 6S and 6S Plus production by 30% in the first quarter of 2016, with the publication citing excess inventories of the models. It remains to be seen though how much of a decline Apple witnesses in iPhone sales this year, and whether that's due to its competitors gaining its customers to simply saturated demand in the high-end segment of the market, analysts appear to think it's the latter.

Apple is working on a new set of Bluetooth headphones, according to reports, partially using the tech it acquired in the Beats Audio buyout in 2014 . 9to5Mac sources say the firm is planning to launch the new accessory alongside the iPhone 7 as a separately sold alternative to the firm's EarPods So as well as featuring no wires between headphone jack and headphones, there'll also be nothing linking the two buds.

Citing a source with "knowledge of the company's plans," Fast Company says the iPhone 7 will not include a headphone jack in an effort to make the device even thinner than the iPhone 6s.
