RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES An exciting opportunity to work with in the ILS team of the leading navigation project of Europe. As part of the ILS team at our customer site, you will be responsible for Administration and support of operational equipment Create and maintain operational maintenance procedures based on segment documentation Create, edit and delete operational user accounts following the security operations process Support and maintain operational network equipment Daily check and reporting of the operational systems status Represent the maintenance team in several customer meetings and boards Coordinate and plan preventive and corrective activities together with the other project teams Evaluate and report improvements and evolvements to operational procedures, designs and processes Create and maintain operational maintenance concepts and processes Coordinate, support and assist the teams at other sites in all previous aspects including business trips Provide on call support QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE Technical training as an IT specialist system integration or similar qualification Good knowledge of hardware used in operational environment Some years of experience in above area Knowledge of Linux Be fluent in English and German, both in speaking and writing ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to think in an analytical way Collaborative and team worker Good communication skills Solution oriented BENEFITS Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities and Telespazio VEGA Deutschland pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate. Windstream sells data centre ops for USD 575 mln

(Telecompaper) US operator Windstream has agreed to sell its data centre business to TierPoint for USD 575 million in cash. Under the terms of the agreement, the two will also establish a strategic partnership which will enable them to sell their respective products and services to each other's prospective customers through referrals. The structure will allow Windstream to focus capital on its core telecom offerings while continuing to offer traditional data centre services to enterprise customers across a broader data centre footprint.
Mobilink, Warid to merge ops in Pakistan - report

(Telecompaper) VimpelCom, parent company of Pakistani mobile operator Mobilink , and the Abu Dhabi Group, a major sponsor of Warid Telecom, have reached an in-market consolidation by merging their respective subsidiaries, Daily Times reports, citing unnamed industry sources. According to these sources, the launch of 4G/LTE services made Warid an attractive target for VimpelCom. Thus VimpelCom agreed to acquire Abu Dhabi Group's subsidiary, Warid Telecom.

(Telecompaper) Bharti Airtel plans to sell its Bangladesh and Sri Lanka operations and has hired two bankers to conduct the transaction, Indian TV channel CNBC-TV18 reports. According to the same source, Bharti Airtel plans to first sell its tower business, and then the entire operation at a later time. The move is in line with Airtel's strategy of eliminating unproductive operations.
