Following the hybrid silhouette's debut just last month, Nike has teamed up with Hirsohi Fujiwara and fragment design to introduce a collaborative take on the Roshe Cortez. Decked out in the same obsidian/white color combo that hit the original Roshe LD-1000 , this drop sees a Cortez upper of nylon, suede, and mesh paired with OG styling - including retro branding and exposed tongue padding - and a stark white Roshe NM sole unit.

Seen here in a Black/Photo Blue colorway and dubbed the Cortez Knit Jacquard, this version of the retro runner sees the knit jacquard upper of previous NSW releases, pairing the construction with film overlays for lightweight breathability and a clean finish.

Originally designed in the mid-1960s, by legendary Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman, the Nike Cortez has gone on to become one the brand's most iconic shoes and has recently been given the NikeLab treatment and endowed with a Roshe sole. Initially revealed in the original red and white colorway, as made famous by Forrest Gump, and now this monochrome iteration, the shoe mixes the retro silhouette of the Cortez with the modern comfort and versatility of the Roshe sole.
