Responsibilities Direct involvement, together with a small team, in the daytoday operation and safekeeping of BlackBridges five satellite RapidEye constellation Critical system parameters monitoring, trending, analysis Investigation of anomalies and technical issues, resolving them, implementation of workaround solutions in case of failures, temporary or permanent, or system degradations Preparation and validation of operational procedures for space and ground segments Improve, optimize and adapt the system to meet the changing needs of the business and operational strategies, processes and procedures. Support and Coordination of satellite tasking Capture system requirements, support architectural design and implementation for system enhancements and for the next generation RapidEye constellation Requirements and Skills Solid knowledge of satellite systems power, propulsion, AOCS, etc. Practical experience in satellite operations, preferably LEOP Launch and Early Orbit Phase constellation experience would be an asset. Experience with Satellite Tool Kit STK software is desirable. Programming, and scripting skills are a must Database skills are desirable. Candidates should be entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary minded. Candidates should also be creative, strategic and conceptual thinking Strong analytical skills Selfstarter, works on own initiative, and is able to communicate hisher ideas Must enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English, German a plus, other languages welcome Desired Specific Experience University degree aerospace engineering or other applicable. Masters or PhD with relevant experience is preferred. A BlackBridge Systems Engineer requires a strong foundation in all spacecraft systems.
