Earth Observation Ground Segment Engineer 1311086 Job Description S5P is an Earth Observation Mission within the GMES Programme where the Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS is developed by DLR, under direct Project responsibility, while the FOS is under ESOC responsibility. The selected candidate will support the definition, the implementation and the validation of the Ground Segment in collaboration with the S5P Project team, ESOC and DLR. Furthermore the candidate will support the preparation of the Spacecraft Inorbit Operations up to and including the Commissioning Phase Review. The Engineer should start the position on the 1st of January 2014 Earth Observation Ground Segment System Engineer 2724 Responsibilities Duties The engineer will carry out tasks which support activities related to Phase B of the EPSSG programme and Phase CD of the MTG programme in the area of ground segment engineering. The ground segments of these programmes consist of TTC and payload acquisition ground stations, mission control systems, data processing and archiving facilities, data dissemination facilities and the associated network elements.
