Company SES Category Product Development Management Position Staff Published 20150713 Context SES is implementing a new operating model by introducing four Market Solutions Centers MSC as an overlay to the existing regional approach in order to best serve the rapidly evolving growth verticals Next Generation DataFixed, Next Generation Data Mobillity, Government and Next Generation Video. Through the Next Generation Data Mobility vertical also named Market Solutions Center, the vision of SES is to deliver home equivalent media and broadband experiences to passengers at sea and in the air. The Senior Product Manager Data Mobility Aeronautical, is responsible the commercial product management activities of the existing managed Data Mobility Aeronautical products and future SES MSC products for the Mobility segment. Duties include 1 Development of competitive commercial product value propositions, 2 Commercial product development and lifecycle management, 3 Gotomarket support and new channels development, 4 Reporting on product performance and KPIs, 5 Support to existing and future Data Mobility channel activities in coordination with Sales and services companies serve as a commercial interface with Techcom. The candidate is expected to assess the Data Mobility Aeronautical market, identify customers requirements, help develop strong value propositions, and recommend new business models and channels to market for the existing and new Data Mobility Products. The candidate is expected to provide regular reporting to Mobility Portfolio Management and EC on the product performance and commercial success, and recommend future product strategies. Based on customers requirements and strategic initiatives inputs, heshe will be responsible for the entire process of idea generation, concept development, product implementation and market testing. HeShe will support the relative business case building. The Senior Product Manager will have an active and key role to support aeronautical sales targets. The Senior Product manager will ultimately manage the whole entire portfolio of aeronautical products. The candidate is expected to prove a successful trackrecord in product and lifecycle management ideally in aeronautical Data Mobility industry as well as a deep understanding HTS technology. Responsibilities The Senior Product Manager, Aeronautical must focus on three areas of responsibility Value Proposition Implementation Assess the Data Mobility Market Aeronautical Develop Data Mobility aeronautical products and solutions according to strategic initiatives inputs and customers requirements Support the development of the business case for Data Mobility aeronautical products coordinating with finance, legal and marketing Ensure the availability of necessary resources to bring the product to the market space and ground infrastructure, platforms, modem, tools etc. Product and LifeCycle Management Manage the lifecycle of all aeronautical products solutions Coordinate and analyze fleetteleportplatform strategy for Data Mobility Help develop the most optimal ecosystem for aeronautical mobility satellitegroundantennamodemtools Evaluate and integrate customers feedback into product development and innovation to remain in synchronization with the market Establish and ensure crossfunctional coordination with Technology and Sales Engineering, Techcom and Data Fixed SGAS teams as well as Customers leading to product implementation Manage manufacturervendor relationships by ensuring the most competitive sourcing of technology and developments for the new products Ensure product availability and compatibility with clients commercial requirements GotoMarket Support Working closely with the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives, develop gotomarket strategy for Data Mobility Aeronautical products and solutions Lead product introduction and support the product brandingmarketing campaign Lead the pricing strategy of the new aeronautical products Act as responsible for deal flow process of Data Mobility aeronautical. Ensure that the appropriate access products at the appropriate price are included in offer to the customer Initiate, prepare and lead productsolutions training activities organize workshops across SES key offices Promote awareness and create demand for relevant products and solutions through customer visits, speaker opportunities, product demos etc. at events, conferences and other suitable occasions Develop customer case studies to illustrate SES product benefits to customers and facilitate product adoption Manage and establish detailed reporting capabilities per product solution, and provide regular reporting on KPIs to senior management Support developing and manage existing data and new Data Mobility products information flow contentwise Experience Qualifications Master Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields. Engineering Degree shall ideally complemented by a MBA or Masters in Economics or related fields Advanced IP Networking skills network designarchitecture, network engineering, network operations and management, routing and switching, VOIP, QoS firewalls, servers IP Networking Technical Certifications Desired Advanced RFSatellite Skills digital signal processing, earth station operations, earth station design, Monitor and control systems IP Stakeholder experience MaritimeAero Mobility, Regulators, Vendors IP Application Providers 710 years work experience in the Data Mobility industry aeronautical, both satellite and ground segment Deep understanding of HTS technology to design products accordingly Proven ability to work with Data Mobility customers to identify their requirements, develop and shape applicable SES endtoend solutions, and deliver relevant programs, services, and product offerings Strong understanding and experience of the buyin process of the Data Mobility customers Talent for technology, skills for communicating technical issues efficiently Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset Drive, engagement and creative thinking to bring new concepts to the front Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills Technical deep understanding of satellite technology and in particular satellite ground equipment and systems Ability to deal with multidisciplinary stakeholders technical, finance, commercial, legal Able to produce meaningful market assessments and recommendations Fluency in English.
