In addition to fixed and mobile telephony, internet and TV, people can also get OTT and streaming services such as Spotify, Netflix, Apple TV+ (from November 1) and Disney+.

Dutch consumer multi-play revenues grow 4.5% on shift to quad-play, FMC bundles

(Telecompaper) The triple-play or 'All-in-1' package has long been the most popular bundle in the Dutch market. However, more and more consumers are turning to quad-plays, driven by increased marketing of the offers by VodafoneZiggo and T-Mobile. The triple-play fell to 48.9 percent of multi-play households in Q2, down nearly 3 percent points from a year earlier, while quad-play increased its market share 2.3 points over the same period to 27.3 percent.

The report provides a comprehensive overview and insight into the Dutch consumer multi-play market. We analyse the Dutch telecoms markets from a bundling perspective. We report on the number of 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P subscribers, based on both company reports and our own calculations and estimates. Our assumption is that broadband is the leading telco service. Hence we focused on multi-plays containing broadband. It is a proxy for households, now that broadband penetration is approaching 100% (assuming further that subscribers only very rarely take two separate broadband subscriptions).
