As Geospatial System Architect mf you will be responsible for developing solutions in the area of geospatial data infrastructures. You will report to the Geospatial Work Package Manager WPM to ensure that the Geospatial Environmental Reference work package is delivered on time, cost and quality using the technical resources under the control and direction of the Geospatial WPM. In this context your responsibilities will include Designing and developing solutions within the scope of the Geospatial Environmental Reference System, including risk and feasibility analyses as well as requirement engineering Managing subcontractors as well as interfaces and connections with customers Identifying, quantifying and mitigating the technical risks associated with the solution and related work packages Helping to plan engineering activities related to the work package Ensuring the definition and commitment of the Work Package Owners WPO and approval of the necessary engineering work packages and commitment to the technicalqualitycost work package boundaries Advising on products, solutions and potential subcontractors We are looking for candidates with the following skills Degree in Geodesy or Geoinformatics with strong Information Technology expertise, or a degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology with a strong background in Geospatial Technology or equivalent Extensive experience in Geospatial System and Requirement Engineering within large projects as well as Software Engineering in multicomponent systems Technical background in geospatial technologies and data, GIS and interoperability standards in this technical domain ISO, WMO, OGC, NATO STANAGs, DGIWG, etc. combined with very good knowledge of the geospatial market and technical capabilities as well as software architecture principles, e.g. SOA Understanding of the key technologies involved in complex systems e.g. border security Esri technology skills are essential Luciad technology skills are desirable Knowledge in Advanced MS Office Professional, UMLSysML and System Modeling tools such as Enterprise is essential An INCOSE certificate would be an advantage Experience in Project and Team Management Highlevel of selfmotivation, ability to solve conflicts, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Strong service orientation and delivery focus Willingness to travel German and English fluentnegotiation level, skills in French andor Arabic are desirable If you are interested in this position, please apply though our OnlineTool www.jobs.eads.com and attach your application in German or English. We are looking for people who can translate extremely exotic system requirements into extremely feasible mechanical designs. Creative thinking is essential. The machines made are almost unimaginably complex and work within incredibly minute tolerances. The complexity is increasing and the tolerance margins are vanishing. Thats why we are looking for Mechanical System Architects with a global system view that answers all of these technical challenges. A view that will help realise a machine that meets all of the next wave of new system requirements and still be feasible to manufacture, transport, install and service. The systems will be now totally reinvent and take the quantum leap from 300mm wafers to 450mm wafers. You will be responsible for the delivery of a large complex metrology frame with many complex interfaces and subnanometre stability requirements.
