Serco Nederland BV is looking for a Feasibility Study Manager to support its customer in the UK. You will be providing supporting to the Feasibility Studies section at the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications ECSAT, reporting to the Head of the Feasibility Studies Section in the Integrated and Telecommunicationsrelated Applications Department. Task Overview Provide support to the preparation, implementation and management of Feasibility Study activities and assist in programmatic tasks. The Feasibility Studies cover integrated applications, based on a combined use of several space e.g. Satellite Navigation, Satellite Communication, Earth Observation, Human Spaceflight technologies and terrestrial assets, in different thematic areas, such as Safety, Health, Energy, Transport, Environment, Agriculture, Development, etc. by new communities of end users and European private and institutional players. Support the Head of the Feasibility Study Section in the management of ARTES 20 feasibility studies Interface with user groups, industry and other relevant partners at working level in accordance with the objectives of the Department Support the consolidation of user needs and their translation into system requirements Initiate new activities and studies related to the area of responsibility Contribute to the preparation of the ARTES 20 Feasibility Studies Work plan Support the preparation of tenders Evaluate proposals in accordance with the objectives of the Department, including technical and commercialisation aspects Coordinate with the Procurement Office and other relevant Offices of Administration, as necessary for implementation of activities Implement and manage activities and feasibility studies related to the area of responsibility Coordinate the support provided by other ESA Directorates for activities in the area of responsibility Contribute to reports for the relevant ESA Directorates and Delegate Bodies Contribute to the preparation of subsequent Demonstration Projects in close cooperation with the Applications Demonstration Projects Office of the Department Qualifications and Requirements Applicants for this post shall have a university degree or equivalent qualification in Satellite Communications, Satellite Navigations or Remote Sensing, having an excellent knowledge in at least one of the space disciplines with a good understanding of the other space disciplines. You shall have a good understanding of operational aspects of applications and services including commercialisation. Applicants shall have good analytical and formulating skills, as well as the ability to work within an international environment. Systematic work, creativity and innovation are important for this post. You shall have excellent communication skills, problem solving, and be able to manage relationships, work in a team and be selfmotivating and disciplined. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent qualification in Satellite Communications, Satellite Navigation or Remote Sensing Several years experience in a similar role Sound knowledge in at least one of the space disciplines with a good understanding of the other space disciplines Good understanding of operational aspects of applications and services including commercialization Ability to work within an international environment and efficiently manage working relationships Good analytical and formulating skills, creativity and an innovative attitude would be an asset Excellent communication and problem solving skills Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
