County needs full-court press on Sanderson

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners believes that county can do without an industry that would directly provide about 1,000 new jobs, hundreds more on the periphery, and invest more than $100 million. Robeson County, as one of the most impoverished counties in North Carolina and even the country, clearly cannot - and needs now to double down on efforts to bring a Sanderson Farms plant here.
