Microsoft to invest 1 bln in new Bengaluru office - report

(Telecompaper) Microsoft is scouting for a 1.1 million square feet office space in Bengaluru to consolidate and expand its business in India. The move is part of chief executive Satya Nadella's plans to tap into the local market and engineering talent. Microsoft has already looked at properties in Embassy GolfLinks and North Bengaluru but is yet to sign a deal, ET reports, citing three unnamed people with knowledge of the matter. Microsoft currently operates from Embassy GolfLinks Business Park.

This includes the ongoing screening of hundreds of media sources, the consistent filtering of relevant news and the distribution to management, employees and Board, the choice and maintenance of content, distribution and analysis platforms and software and the global distribution lists and networks, the analysis and measurement of media coverage and outreach, the daily internal news monitoring, the production of weekly press highlights and the monthly PR Monitor. Responsibilities Media monitoring and screening Daily screening of hundreds of online and print sources in online databases, website filters, search engines and alerts and print hard copies, and identification of company and industry relevant news Distribution of these relevant news in consistent formats to stakeholders and target groups SES News Monitoring feed twice a day, electronic press clipping and archives, weekly news highlights and Board information Maintenance of feed and alert for SES Issues Management Media analysis Establish and run media analysis tools quantitative and qualitative on a regular basis weekly, monthly, specifically Develop media analysis reports for departmental use and company level Operational Reviews Establish trend barometers and KPI matrix and produce PR Monitor and similar tools Distribution of press releases Maintenance and update of contact database, categorise recipients and create regional and segmental distribution lists Improve and manage press release distribution platform Business Wire and align media, text, photo, rich media formats Interface and manage stock exchange disclosure and exchange with IR distribution Dispatch news and news packages on website, social media, Intranet, Communications Platform Handle budget for issuing press releases and database Experience Qualifications University degree journalism, communications, or social or human sciences Four years of experience in office management andor journalism PR, out of which at least two years with intense involvement in media research, consumption, filtering, monitoring Fluency in English, at least passive understanding of German and French High and pragmatic interest in media, industry and company actualities Ability to handle, digest and filter a complex and intense daily news flow in several languages and prioritise following objective company and industry criteria Ability to develop the necessary sensitivity with politically delicate topics and topics with top management involvement Proficiency in complex databases, search engines and tools, analytical software and programmes, social media, and rich media distribution platforms Ability to effectively interface with diverse internal and external customers Ability to work under deadlines and juggle multipledetailed projects Demonstrated selfstarter, creative and autonomous Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits. Main responsibilities You will be the Management Assistant to the Head of the Business Unit Control BUC Office OPSB, to the Units within the Division as well as to the Head of the Quality Office and Team.
