Your Tasks Include The project control service to be provided falls under the responsibility of the Head of the Programme Project Control Unit, responsible for professional standards and generic programme project control matters but, for daytoday project control matters, it shall be provided to the respective ground segment and investment project managers. He she shall support the project management in the implementation of their industrial and our Client internal activities, in accordance with the approved budget and in agreement with the established administration processes and the Client contractual and financial Regulations, and in the preparation of plans and reports concerning the project aspects i.e. schedule, cost, finance, configuration, documentation, progress control as well as risk related aspects, with the aim to provide full visibility on all activities related to resources. Your Profile Applicants should have a university degree MSc or an equivalent qualification in a relevant engineeringcommercial or administrative field together with substantial experience at least 4 years in the project control disciplines related to the tasks under consideration, preferably gained in the aerospace industry Experience with computer systems and planning coordination tools is essential. A good knowledge of a management information system ERP such as SAP would be an asset. For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently seeking a spacecraftground controller to support the 247 spacecraft and ground segment service and system operations during the operations preparation phase of the Sentinel3 mission. It is expected that the Sentinel3 team will initially support the development of the EUMETSAT operations preparations activities for EUMETSAT to be able to take over the routine operations. Tasks Operate on a 247 shift basis all or part of the mission control system, which includes parts of the ground segment as well as the space segment Assist in configuring and testing the operational system to support the operations In case of ground or space segment anomaly take corrective action as necessary, applying the contingencyemergency procedures approved for the mission to ensure spacecraft safety and the continuity of service provision to users Participate in other operationsrelated activities small system development, procedures development or maintenance etc upon request of the Team Leader. Requirements Previous experience in the role is essential. The official languages at EUMETSAT are English and French, therefore applicants must be able to work effectively in English and have some knowledge of French.
