The Quality Lead is an independent person in the organization that watches that the company adheres to commitments towards customers, employees and Government. Tasks as a Quality Lead Organizing the quality team Set up the quality policy. Implement and continuously improve the Quality Management System. Responsible for assuring that the company Quality Management System complies with local law, meets requirements of EN and ISO standards, and complies with customers requirements. Correct implementation of the Quality Control function. You are the Quality representative for the company in front of customers, for audits or inspections. Contribute to organizing the quality team consisting of Product Assurance Engineers, Quality Inspectors, and Documentation Manager. Maintain and improve Configuration Management and Documentation Management Process Lead Configuration Control Board and Corrective Action Request meetings Assure that the company and external employees work according to the Quality Management System through internal and external audits. The Quality Lead is also acting as a Product Assurance Engineer on some Projects. For this function he is responsible that the quality process in a project, with regard to design, control, methodologies and techniques, results in the agreed quality level of the company and of their Customer. The Product Assurance Engineer acts as an independent body. Tasks as a Product Assurance Engineer Different technical tasks where the quality management of the production processes analyze, monitoring, controlling, etc. is the key focus point. The taks can vary greatly from assisting in quality checks, till contributing to the whole quality policy and process management Proactively monitoring and inspecting the quality level to detect and resolve quality issues. Several project related matters such as Project specific Product Assurance plan Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety RAMS requirements Parts, material and process requirements EEE component requirements Responsible for Configuration Management of the product Responsible for preparing and managing RFWs, RFDs, RFAs and PADs Have a proactive role in realizing an optimal relationship with the Customers Product Assurance Managers as chairman of the Parts Material Control Boards, NRBs, MIPs MRR, IRR, TRR, TRB, etc.. The PAE has the responsibility to use his veto when quality is at stake. Manage Product Assurance requirements in design, development, test and operations Perform RAMS analyses Follow up NCRs, RFWs, RFAs, RFDs and PADs corrective and preventive actions Participate in project meetings and audits Have an active role in validating hardware suppliers of flight parts or flight hardwarerelated services. In order to do so the PAE will, independently, perform audits Provide input for tenders in the area of the quality organization and quality processes. The PAE provides the Statements or Compliances SoC that relate to quality Responsible for organizing, managing, and closing MIPs MRR, IRR, TRR, TRB, etc. and KIPs critical process inspections Responsible for capturing and managing the Configuration Items through a CIDL. The PAE carries out the task as Configuration Manager at product level Provides input to the Project Lead andor reports on a monthly basis the status of quality aspects as part of the Project specific Progress Report Responsible for all Product Assurance documents and End Item Data Packages after CDR until Delivery Responsible for the overall designverification of the product through a VCD. Requirements Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a quality related position within the space domain. Excellent knowledge of European Cooperation for Space Standardization ECSS. General knowledge of hardware on component level for sattelites. Experience in leading Quality Audits is strongly preferred. Good communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
