Mr. Clement has been CFO of Cox's automotive subsidiary. He will succeed Doug Franklin, who will retire on Aug. 1. LivingSocial Inc., a closely held Washington-based operator of a promotional-offer website, tapped Atul Kavthekar as CFO.

An effort to destroy the dam that created Rodman Reservoir is pitting Putnam County residents against an unlikely alliance that includes the JAX Chamber, JaxPort and the St. Johns Riverkeeper. Jaxport wants to dredge 13 miles of the river, and St. Johns Riverkeeper Lisa Rinaman wants the dam destroyed to restore the natural flow of the river.
