Polyester chain prices have begun to decline in the last days, after previously rising over a rebound in demand from Chinese textile producers. Demand and prices are now declining at both sides of the polyester pipeline. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
