We are currently looking for an Optical AIT Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Optical AIT Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Independent concept and design of the alignment plans and procedures for the optical instruments in our large space projects in compliance with the requirements and cost plans In the frame of alignment approach conception, selection of the appropriate measurement equipment, definition of the setup in consideration of instrument constraints and demonstration of the required accuracy by establishing the corresponding error budget Definition and Specification of the OGSE in order to enable its procurement Technically support the OGSE procurement taking into account the budget and schedule constraints Contribute to Alignment process definition and ensure its consistent implementation across the space projects Support of the Project and System Engineering Teams throughout all project phases Independent implementation and leading of alignment and integration activities in view of small series production Coordination with other Engineering sectors involved in the project Preparation and implementation of standard AIT boards Timely preparation and compilation of required AIT documents Cooperation with Product Assurance. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in a relevant discipline Practical experience within large space projects, in particular in Phase CD Knowledge about the state of the art alignment and optical measurement technologies in the space industry Experience with the planning and the leading of alignment campaigns at instrument and or satellite level Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German is an advantage. Within the project you plan the mechanical integration and test campaigns and you establish the relevant documents like integration plan and procedures. The leading execution of mechanical integration and test campaigns is part of this position as well as the support to System Engineering, PA and Project Management for project decisions. You will work in an international project environment which is executed on the two major sites within Bremen and Munich.
