Optical AIT Engineer Our client is one of the leading satellite manufacturers in Europe, boasting sole primary responsibility over some of ESAs European Space Agencys larger space programs. Please note, the site is based just south West of Munich, Germany and the spoken language on site is English. The client are currently seeking an experienced Optical Mechanical Engineer who is able to provide QA expertise, having come from a similar position before. The successful candidates will have worked in the space and satellite industry for a minimum of four years and will likely have double that in Quality Assurance experience. Your tasks Development of concepts for the Integration, Alignment and testing of Optical systems and Instruments. Preparation and execution of the integration and alignment of Optical systems, including detailing the activity setup and all necessary execution steps via procedures and plans. Also including the planning and preparation of optical analytical models and tools. Preparation and execution of optical test, including preparation of procedures and necessary test scripts. This includes detailed planning of the test setup and related test documentation. These test may be at telescope level passive Optical system, or on a full operational instrument in ambient and Thermal Vacuum. Definition and Specification of the OGSE in order to enable its procurement via subcontract Technically support the OGSE procurement taking into account the budget and schedule constraints Support of the Project and System Engineering Teams throughout all project phases with regard to optical AIT aspects, such as establishing integration and alignment sequences Coordination with other Engineering sectors involved in the project, such as Mechanics and Optics Departments Preparation and implementation of standard AIT reviews such as IRRs, TRRs and PTRs, participation in crossproject reviews Timely preparation and compilation of required AIT documents, such as plans, procedures and reports In cooperation with Product Assurance conducting inspections, keeping logsheet records, compilation of nonconformance and problem reports. The role would ideally suit an engineer with at least 5 years of experience within the space industry and relevant experience. Start date is as soon as possible. A vacancy for an AIT Production Controller has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth The successful candidate will join the AIT team looking after the manufacture of satellite payloads and will be responsible for Managing the Project Manufacturing Plans within SAP Primavera P6 for AIT Projects maintaining accurate SAP Master Data including leadtimes attrition Makebuy Bill of Materials. He will play a major role in Production support work stream improvements with the identification and Facilitation of interdepartmental cost saving initiatives, concentrating on the full supply chain process including business systems Tools. He will plan the production on a short or medium term horizon, take into account all the production events and smooth the production plan accordingly. AIT Satellite Test Engineer

One of our space clients is looking for an experienced AIT test engineer to work at one of their sites in the Netherlands. The candidate is required to have extensive experience within the field of satellite technology and to have worked across a wide range of disciplines including AITpayload, spacecraft test campaigns, AIT EGSE support, AIT launch campaigns in both test and support. This should include payload test, payload engineering, requirement generation and validation, test development, results analysis, EIDPgeneration. It would also be helpful if the engineer has covered or supported PDR, CDR, TRR,TRB IRB and NRB reviews. Experience on a range of component level technologies such as RF, Radio, Radar, GSM, Fibre optics and telecoms would be an asset.
