ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is responsible for the 247 support, management and monitoring of GovSat services, specifically supporting Governmental defence and CivilianInstitutional security communications. The incumbent is expected to take ownership, diagnose and resolve service anomalies in both the RF Payload and IP domains as part of a predefined incident management process. He She will also perform routine operational tasks such as spectral policing, trouble ticket management, service reporting and carrier lineup activities. As a member of a multiskilled shift team operating within a purpose built, GovSat Secure Missions Operations Centre, the incumbent will also support other GovSat operational systems involved in the service delivery chain. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Maintain services to the highest possible standards, considering primarily service availability and quality through the use of automatic and manual monitoring and analysis systems Provide 247 service support to GovSat customers andor users Rotate shifts on 24hour duty, 7 days per week Ensure spectral policing of GovSat platforms and assets Operate GovSat managed platforms and associated networks global scope with the expectation of working with Network Management Systems NMS from multiples vendors in the IP domain Be accountable for the delivery of industry leading customer service Perform timely and effective troubleshooting and service recovery actions Perform line ups of uplinks as required Provide technical support to customers andor users Create operational reports and statistics as required Ensure the availability and preparedness of GovSat monitoring systems for Data services Liaise with and escalate to Engineering support when required Level 2 Perform other duties as required by management COMPETENCIES Strong aptitude for a systems approach to problem solving, and good analytical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong customer user focus High operational awareness Ability to work both in a team and independently as required the incumbent will act as a lone worker during some shifts Selfmotivation, attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility and stress resistance Flexibility in working times Strong ability to set priorities Willingness and drive to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills Willingness to foster innovation to develop the working environment Fluency in English and any other languages will be considered as an asset QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree in Engineering Computer Science, or equivalent qualifications andor experience Minimum two years of work experience in the Telecommunication Industry Experience in operating satellite platforms, including VSAT and associated systems Good knowledge of satellite communications techniques, architecture and protocols Knowledge of satellite communications, networking andor IT systems Knowledge of RF Geolocation Understanding of IP networks and acquaintance with platforms and Internet infrastructure Working knowledge of Carrier Monitoring systems and functionality Working knowledge of systems and server infrastructure OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Accurate reporting Understanding of the unique demands of working within the Governmental institutional area NATOEU secret level clearance are mandatory Apply HERE

About the Legal and Procurement department The Legal and Procurement Department steers the legal dimension and ensures the overall followup of all GSA legal activities, and provides legal advice on all GSA policies. The department assists all other departments in contract preparation, negotiation and interpretation and manages all procurements, contracts, grants and other agreements. It also oversees the protection of personal data and ensures compliance with relevant legislation. Tasks and responsibilities The Senior Legal Officer will be in charge of supporting the Agency in all tasks of the Legal and Procurement Department, in particular Provide specialist legal and procedural advice to ensure that the GSA acts within its statutory and regulatory obligations Provide legal advice to the Agencys operational and administrative departments Identify legal issues associated with GSAs activities to prevent the Agency incurring legal risks and develop solutions Advise on issues potentially giving rise to litigation, provide legal advice and manage litigation cases at administrative and judicial level, as well as representing GSA before local courts and the European Court of Justice Contribute to the identification, assessment and management of potential risks associated with GSA legal, procurement and contract management activities Provide expert advice on procurement, grants and prizes Coordinate calls for tenders and calls for grants in line with standard best practices Follow up on contract implementation and performance throughout the lifecycle of contracts Ensure that all purchases by the GSA of goods or services comply with the applicable regulatory framework Provide legal advice and support the interfaces with key stakeholders e.g. Administrative Board, Security Accreditation Board, European Commission, European Space Agency Provide support when requested, in leading and coordinating specific areas, practices, projects andor teams Represent the Legal and Procurement Department in external meetings, working groups, conferences, seminars, networks and report to management Contribute to general tasks of the Agency, such as planning, budgeting and reporting Contribute to managing a team of professionals including setting targets, monitoring performance and supporting the development of junior team members Assist with management of external support or advisers Contribute to the preparation and development of internal rules and procedures, as well as highlevel document management. The Senior Legal Officer may be assigned to represent and deputise the Head of Legal and Procurement Department. In addition, heshe will be required to perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Legal and Procurement Department. Description Trajectory design and analysis of launch vehicles and related launch operations in the department of Avionics and GNC. Responsibilities Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion for suborbital and orbital launch vehicles. Development of 6DOF launch vehicle and spacecraft dynamics simulators. Perform aerodynamic characterization of aerospace vehicles. Contribute to flight safety analysis, safety corridors, IIPs. Interaction with other subsystems and systems engineers for trajectory optimization. Contribution to launch licensing according to international regulations. Provide inputs for flight hardware structural and propulsion components. Preflight postflight data processing and correlation with simulations and tests. Software verification via testing with flightsoftwareintheloop and hardwareintheloop. Experience with reentry aerothermodynamics analysis and simulations. Experience with Safety analysis and international regulations for launch vehicles. Experience with FTS design and dispersion simulation. Experience with control dynamics and optimization strategies for missile and orbital spacecrafts. Dynamic and resilient. Team player able to work on different tasks in parallel. Experience Relevant experience in rocket trajectory analysis and simulation software development.
