Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located several hundred miles southwest of the southwestern coast of Mexico are associated with a broad area of low pressure. Conditions appears to be favorable for subsequent additional development, and a tropical depression is likely to form by the weekend while the system moves westward or west-northwestward near the Cabo Verde Islands and the adjacent Atlantic.
